Legacy Contractors Group, Inc. provides finish hardware
materials and installation for commercial contractors, residential builders
and property management companies.
Our mission is to provide our clients with other finish hardware materials, service and installation at a competitive price. Our team of experienced professionals will help inspire, educate and problem-solve for our customers.

OUR LEADERSHIP
Founders, James Burleson (Joe) and Mary Jean Merlin, CPA, (MJ), derive their professional expertise from an excess of 40 years combined within the construction industry. Complementing each other’s business acumen, Joe and MJ have established a partnership committed to provide a customer experience built upon consistency, workmanship, and trust.
Early in Joe’s construction career he worked as a carpentry laborer for a large general contractor advancing to a foreman’s position. He then progressed to a licensed crane operator erecting parking garages and sports venues, including M&T Bank Stadium. Realizing his true passion was carpentry, Joe returned to finish end construction. Across 13 years in the finish hardware trade, Joe began as an installer and aptly advanced to vice president managing operations. His years of experience in the industry along with his leadership skills will guide Legacy’s field operations.
Following a career in public accounting, MJ entered the business of multi-family construction. Her position there as controller combined with years spent as vice president for a building supply company are the foundation of her management skills. MJ’s knowledge progressed with her unique construction experience as the owner of a home building company. MJ provides Legacy with uncommon insight
and an analytic approach that yields efficiency and consistency.
The candid, objective-oriented nature of Legacy Contractors Group aims to develop and refine itself daily. Establishing trustworthy relationships and achieving a proven track record will allow Legacy to assist our customers in meeting their business goals.
